Role Overview
The Trainee Investment Manager programme is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to excel in a career as an Investment Manager. You will work closely with experienced professionals, supporting client portfolios, conducting market research, and learning to craft bespoke investment strategies that align with clients’ financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support: Assist in managing client relationships by understanding their financial objectives, preparing investment reviews, and ensuring a high standard of client service.
Portfolio Management: Collaborate with senior investment managers to manage client portfolios, monitor performance, and recommend adjustments in line with market trends.
Market Research: Conduct detailed research on financial markets, investment products, and economic trends to support decision-making processes.
Investment Strategy: Learn to create and implement tailored investment strategies, including asset allocation and risk management approaches.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies in day-to-day operations.
Professional Development: Undertake training programmes, including professional qualifications such as CISI, CFA, or equivalent, to enhance technical expertise and industry knowledge.
Who We’re Looking For

Essential Skills and Qualifications
A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (minimum 2:1 classification preferred).
Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen interest in financial markets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
A proactive and goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Commitment to completing professional qualifications (e.g., CISI or CFA).
Desirable Attributes
Previous experience in finance, banking, or a client-facing role is advantageous but not essential.
